Sam's Club Is Adding Polish Hot Dogs to All Menus After Costco Removed the Beloved Item

After Costco announced it would stop selling the Polish hot dog in its food court in favor of healthier options, competitor Sam's Club has announced it will offer the popular snack. The bargain retailer shared the news on Twitter that, starting on July 23, it will sell the spicy sandwich-that-isn't-a-sandwich for 99 cents in all of its cafes.

The move was likely made to appease the shoppers who've made a large public outcry over the loss of this fan favorite treat at Costco, which is also known as a kielbasa. Numerous social media posts using the hashtag #SaveThePolishDog on Twitter and Instagram have asked Costco to reconsider. Multiple petitions with the request have also gained traction online, gathering over 18,000 combined signatures.

The news was greeted eagerly by those who can't get enough of the treat. One excited fan stated that they now consider Sam's Club, which operates almost 600 stores in the United States and Puerto Rico, a "dining destination."

Some customers have already been chowing down on the Polish hot dog at Sam's Club, but this new promotion will apply to all of their locations. "About 200 Sam's Club cafés already have the Polish dog on the menu, but this popular treat is being added to all locations so people everywhere can get their fix. You don't have to be a Sam's Club member to dine in the café," the warehouse retail chain explained in a statement.Sam's Club currently offers their regular hot dog and soda combo at the same price as Costco: $1.50.You don't even have to be a Sam's Club member to take advantage of this low-cost deal; anyone can eat in Sam's Club cafes.
